Students can apply via the Avomeen website at https:\/\/www.avomeen.com\/scholarships\/. Scholarship applications will be judged on two factors:<\/p>\n
1) A written statement (200 words or less) on why the applicant has chosen to pursue a degree in STEM
\na. For the Women in STEM scholarship, the applicant should include information about organizations they\u2019ve been a part of and\/or what they\u2019re done in their community to support and promote female leadership.
\nb. For the Minorities in STEM scholarship, applicants should include information about organizations they\u2019ve been a part of and\/or what they\u2019ve done in their community to support and promote minority leadership.<\/p>\n
2) Eligibility requirements, which include:
\na. Pursuing an undergraduate education at a U.S.-based college or university for both scholarships; and
\nb. For the Women in STEM scholarship, the applicant must identify as a woman.
\nc. For the Minorities in STEM scholarship, the applicant must identify as a minority.<\/p>\n
We\u2019re accepting applications from Oct. 1-April 1, and winners will be notified by May 1. The application and notification dates remain the same every year for this annual scholarship.
