Edwards is a leading scholar of race and religion in the United States. Her books include \u201cThe Elusive Dream: The Power of Race in Interracial Churches\u201d and \u201cAgainst All Odds: The Struggle for Racial Integration in Religious Organizations.\u201dOWU\u2019s Gospel Lyres will lead the audience in singing \u201cLift Every Voice and Sing.\u201d<\/p>\n
The campus community also is invited to attend the 35th<\/sup>\u00a0annual MLK worship service at 3 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 19, at the Delaware City Vineyard, 32 Troy Road. The free event will feature remarks from the Rev.
