The Five Colleges of Ohio Digital Collaborations Group invites you to a faculty workshop on Scalar, a robust tool for developing pedagogical digital projects. The workshop will be held in R.W. Corns Building on Sat., Oct. 27 from 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.<\/p>\n
Scalar (https:\/\/bit.ly\/2OrYtUF<\/a>) is an authoring and publishing platform for creating digital projects that juxtapose text with visually rich multimedia content (images, video, etc.) in both linear and nonlinear forms.<\/p>\n This workshop will provide a hands-on introduction to the platform. We will cover the features that make Scalar unique among publishing platforms and discuss its strengths and weaknesses. Two hands-on sessions will give attendees time to get familiar with Scalar’s interface and build projects of their own.<\/p>\n During lunch, Dr. Annemarie Sammartino, Associate Professor of History at Oberlin College, will share her experiences and reflections on using Scalar.
