Friday, June 26, is the last day to Withdraw from full-session \/ 10-week summer courses. Withdrawing from a course is an option when you are certain you are no longer in a position to pass.<\/p>\n

Questions to Consider Before Withdrawing:<\/strong><\/p>\n

  1. Have you talked with your professor about whether you can catch up in the class? (See these office hour tips<\/a>.)<\/li>\n
  2. Have you used all available resources? For example, visit the Sagan Academic Resource Center to see whether tutoring or time-management\/study-skills coaching could make a difference.<\/li>\n
  3. Could you get a D-? Even a D- in a class will count toward graduation; you just need an overall GPA of 2.0. Do not Withdraw if things aren\u2019t going perfectly. There is still time to have a better experience and pass!<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Course Withdrawal Process and Considerations:<\/strong><\/p>\n

    Requests to withdraw must be submitted by the posted deadline<\/strong>\u00a0using the\u00a0Course Withdrawal Request Form<\/a>. It is helpful to give the instructor and your advisor a heads-up. Withdrawing from a course places a permanent grade of W (Withdraw) on your transcript but does not impact your GPA. Although your GPA is protected with a Withdraw, you may make academic progress more slowly because a Withdrawn course does not count toward graduation units.<\/p>\n
