The initiation of the Class of 2026 Phi Beta Kappa initiates will take place this Friday, May 8, from 10:30 a.m. to noon in Gray Chapel. All are welcome and encouraged to attend to celebrate this great achievement.<\/p>\n

The new inductees join a historic organization that counts 17 U.S. presidents, 42 Supreme Court justices, and more than 140 Nobel laureates among its members.<\/p>\n

Phi Beta Kappa was founded in 1776, and its name originated from the motto \u201cLove of learning is the guide of life.\u201d Ohio Wesleyan\u2019s Eta Chapter was founded in 1907.<\/p>\n

The honor society\u2019s mission is to champion education in the liberal arts and sciences, recognize academic excellence, and foster freedom of thought and expression.<\/p>\n
