Would you like to hire a student intern on campus and provide them with hands-on experience in a professional setting? Proposals for the Student Assistantship Program (StAP)<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0Legacy Internship Program<\/a>\u00a0are NOW open for faculty and staff! This is your chance to work with a student and help them translate what they have learned in the classroom into practical solutions in a real-world work environment here on campus.<\/p>\n

Student Assistant Program positions are open to all students, but being selected for funding is more competitive. Legacy Program Proposal positions are open to legacy students, who are students with a family member (cousin, sibling, aunt, uncle, parent, grandparent, etc.) who graduated from\u00a0OWU.\u00a0(*Note that the Bishop Elevate Internship Program is full for this upcoming year.) <\/em><\/p>\n

When you fill this out, please keep in mind the spirit of the program. Ideal positions should provide major responsibilities, develop workplace skills, and be centered on a major project. Positions should require a greater level of responsibility and commitment than is typically required in work-study positions, and should not be ones in which the student is simply a general-purpose assistant. Proposals for student research will not be accepted.<\/p>\n
