Interested in entrepreneurship or small business? Interested in winning $1,000?<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>The Burton Morgan Entrepreneurship Student Paper Competition is open to junior or senior students and is designed to encourage student research in entrepreneurship and small business. The subject area of \u201centrepreneurship and small business\u201d is broadly defined to include virtually anything related to entrepreneurship and small business, as well as traditional topics associated with starting, financing, managing, and selling a small business.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>All students will be expected to perform preliminary research into the topic they select. Complete proposals will include:<\/div>\n<div>\n<ul>\n<li>A 3-5 page proposal that details the background of their topic, the additional research required, and the general results that might be anticipated.<\/li>\n<li>A bibliography of the student\u2019s preliminary research.<\/li>\n<li>A representative writing sample of a paper or report that the student has previously submitted in another Ohio Wesleyan course.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The finalist will be selected on the basis of this proposal and will be made contingent upon the student\u2019s completing the research, submitting the final paper, having it approved by faculty judges, and presenting the results of the paper at a meeting of students and faculty.\u00a0 The finalist will receive a $1,000 award!<\/p>\n<p>Completed proposals are to be submitted by Dec. 5, 2025, via email to Professor Hurst at <a href=\"mailto:cghurst@owu.edu\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" aria-describedby=\"tt-hc-email\">cghurst@owu.edu<\/a>.
