They often look urgent, official, or too good to be true.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Watch out for:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Emails or texts asking you to click a link, scan a QR code, or log in to \u201cverify\u201d your account or personal information.<\/li>\n<li>Messages that pressure you to act quickly, such as \u201crespond now\u201d or \u201cyour account will be closed.\u201d<\/li>\n<li>Spelling errors, strange email addresses, or unusual requests.<\/li>\n<li>Promises of prizes, unsolicited job offers, or other items of value.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Safe practices for links &amp; attachments:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Hover over links before clicking\u2014check where they really lead.<\/li>\n<li>Never open unexpected attachments, even if they look like PDFs or Word docs.<\/li>\n<li>When in doubt, verify the sender directly instead of trusting the message.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\ud83d\udca1 <strong>Pro Tip:<\/strong> If it feels off\u2014or too good to be true\u2014it probably is.
