Please submit news for parents and families using this<a href=\"https:\/\/sites.owu.edu\/newsforowufamilies\/new-at-owu-submissions\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=https:\/\/sites.owu.edu\/newsforowufamilies\/new-at-owu-submissions\/&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1753554978047000&amp;usg=AOvVaw1wznPtpXGHpUbrqQ4Lp_rT\">\u00a0News for OWU Families form<\/a>\u00a0by\u00a0the deadline,\u00a0<strong>noon Friday, Aug. 1.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>For the August digest, please consider submitting information that will maximize a successful transition to OWU.\u00a0 Consider submitting business items, belonging opportunities \u2013 any information that will help parents &amp; families partner with us for their student&#8217;s success.<\/p>\n<p>The open rate for the most recent (June) News for OWU Families was\u00a0<strong><u>70.7 %!<\/u><\/strong>\u00a0Families are reading it!<\/p>\n<p>Tips: 1) eliminate OWU jargon, abbreviations, or acronyms from your emails; 2) use \u2018family\u2019 or \u2018parents and families\u2019; 3) consider your voice and tone \u2013 direct your message to\u00a0<em>families\u00a0<\/em>(not students).<\/p>\n<p>Emails will typically be sent on the first Wednesday of every month. Submissions will be due the Friday before each email release. The goal of this digest is to keep parents and families informed, engaged, and regularly supplied with resources. Please plan to review with your team every month what information from your area would be helpful to parents and families.<\/p>\n<p>The deadline and issue dates for the upcoming academic year are on the\u00a0<strong><em>News\u00a0<\/em><\/strong>submission form.
