The English Department will welcome Marianne Chan on Wednesday, March 5, from 4:15-5:15 p.m. in the Milligan Room of Slocum Hall.<\/p>\n

Marianne is the author of All Heathens\u00a0<\/em>and\u00a0Leaving Biddle City<\/em>. She is the winner of a Great Lakes Colleges Association New Writers Award, the Ohioana Book Award, and an Association for Asian American Studies Book Award for Outstanding Achievement. Her poems appear in\u00a0Kenyon Review, Crazyhorse, American Literary Review, Michigan Quarterly Review,\u00a0<\/em>and elsewhere. She earned her MFA in poetry at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, and teaches at Old Dominion University. Join Chan for a reading followed by a Q&A and booking signing.\u00a0 This event is free and open to the public.<\/p>\n
