If Not, Read This!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>On Monday, Jan. 27, Ohio Wesleyan tested its OWU ALERT emergency notification system starting at approximately 12:07 p.m. You should have received an email sent to your owu.edu email account as well as text and voice messages sent to your cell phone.<\/p>\n<p>If you didn&#8217;t receive the cell phone alerts, please check your phone&#8217;s spam folders. If the text message was discarded, please mark it as &#8220;not spam.&#8221; It may appear as coming from 58843.<\/p>\n<p>If the voice call was discarded, please add 740-737-8880 to your contacts as OWU ALERT to help you recognize its importance.<\/p>\n<p>If you need to change your cell phone number in your OWU record:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><em><strong>Students<\/strong><\/em>, please email cell phone corrections to\u00a0<a href=\"mailto:registrar@owu.edu\">registrar@owu.edu<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li><em><strong>Employees<\/strong><\/em>, please log into the ADP Portal and use the \u201cMyself,\u201d \u201cMy Information,\u201d and \u201cProfile\u201d links to update cell phone information.<\/li>\n<li><strong>If you have an owu.edu email issue<\/strong>, please contact the Information Systems Help Desk at <a href=\"mailto:helpdesk@owu.edu\">helpdesk@owu.edu<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Parents or guardians<\/strong> <strong>of students<\/strong> who wish to sign up for OWU ALERT text messages should text\u00a0<strong>OWUalertFamily<\/strong> (not case sensitive with no spaces between words) to <strong>58843<\/strong> to receive notifications and STOP to the same number to discontinue receiving messages.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Spouses or partners<\/strong> <strong>of OWU employees<\/strong> should text <strong>OWUalertPartner<\/strong> (not case sensitive with no spaces between words) to <strong>58843\u00a0<\/strong>to receive emergency notifications and STOP to the same number to discontinue receiving messages.<\/p>\n<p>Read more about the OWU ALERT system and other Public Safety notifications on the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.owu.edu\/student-life\/department-of-public-safety\/owu-alert-system\/\">Public Safety section<\/a> of the OWU website.
