If you are a first-year student at OWU (or if you’re a transfer student\u2013<\/span>this is still your first year at OWU!), consider auditioning for First Year Scenes!<\/div>\n

What are First Year Scenes, you ask? Scenes is a fun performance opportunity for first-year students at OWU to connect with others in the performing arts department and an exclusive experience for freshman and transfer students to showcase their talents!<\/div>\n

If you plan on auditioning, please fill out\u00a0this form<\/a> so we can collect availability for our directors, and learn a bit about you. Showing up without filling out the audition form is also OK. Consider being a part of this if you want to try some low-stakes acting out!<\/div>\n

Auditions will be this Thursday, Sept. 12, in the Chappelear Studio Theater at 8 p.m. (that’s the small black box room located to your right if you’re entering through the set of doors that face the park).<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

All you need to audition is a short monologue about 30 seconds to a minute long. It does not\u00a0need to be memorized and can be from anything\u2014a book, a show, a movie, etc. We invite you to wear comfortable clothing you can move in, as we might play some acting games and movement exercises!<\/div>\n

If you are unable to personally show up for auditions but would like to be a part of Scenes, that’s totally OK! We invite you to still fill out the audition form<\/a>\u00a0and upload a video of your\u00a0monologue there. You may also email your submission to \u00a0mmtodorovic@owu.edu<\/a> by 8 p.m. on Thursday!<\/div>\n
