Save the date:<\/strong><\/p>\n Thursday, Aug. 15 Why is this a big deal?<\/strong><\/p>\n Your presence at Convocation sends a powerful message to our new students and their families: “You matter and we’re thrilled you’re here!” It’s a chance to show off our OWU spirit and set the tone for an amazing year.<\/p>\n Not sure what to expect? Check out\u00a0this video<\/a>\u00a0of last year’s ceremony.<\/p>\n RSVP by Friday, Aug. 9<\/strong>,\u00a0using\u00a0this form<\/a>\u00a0so we can plan accordingly.<\/p>\n Dress code:<\/strong><\/p>\n Faculty: Regalia (or your best OWU gear\u2013more important that you are there than not).<\/p>\n<\/li>\n Staff: Regalia if you’ve got it, otherwise, OWU gear.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n After the ceremony, we keep our welcome ritual going with the First Lap! We’ll line up along Slocum Walk and JAYwalk to cheer on our new students as they take their first official lap around campus, led by none other than Bob the Bishop himself. It’s a fun tradition that students repeat at commencement as a frame for their time here with us at Ohio Wesleyan.<\/p>\n Volunteers are needed.
