Horizons is opening elections for 5 committee positions for the academic year 2023-2024.<\/p>\n<div><u>You can apply for only 1 position<\/u><\/div>\n<div><strong>Apply:\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/docs.google.com\/forms\/d\/1r-iu1jLHGOQH-vgP2j3Q0CC5FBK2vhrHuFO6slvfzvI\/edit\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=https:\/\/docs.google.com\/forms\/d\/1r-iu1jLHGOQH-vgP2j3Q0CC5FBK2vhrHuFO6slvfzvI\/edit&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1695296032261000&amp;usg=AOvVaw3t62QY23V2Nr9iMWpnWji7\">Horizons Application Form<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<div>Please refer to the position descriptions below and feel free to reach out to us at\u00a0<a href=\"mailto:horizons@owu.edu\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">horizons@owu.edu<\/a>\u00a0for any questions or concerns.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p><strong>Public Relations Chair\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<div>\n<ul>\n<li>Coordinate Marketing chair.<\/li>\n<li>Direct the design and image of our club in social media, posters, and announcements.<\/li>\n<li>Be the point of contact and outreach between our club and other clubs\/organizations\/Greek life.<\/li>\n<li>Facilitate collaborations with departments\/clubs\/organizations.<\/li>\n<li>Manage communications with Student Involvement Office, IOCP Office, and other collaborating offices.<\/li>\n<li>Work with Secretary to ensure both external and internal communications are consistent.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><strong>Marketing Chair:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Design Poster + Flyer for events and announcements.<\/li>\n<li>Work under Public Relations chair and Secretary.<\/li>\n<li>Manage the club\u2019s Instagram account actively throughout the academic year.<\/li>\n<li>Coordinate with the Public Relations head when it comes to coordinating with alumni network groups (OWUSAA and alumni office).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Event Coordinator\u00a0Chairs<\/strong>\u00a0(<b>2 people<\/b>\u00a0will be elected for this position)<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Take charge of creating event ideas and opportunities.<\/li>\n<li>Work on fundraising for our club (hosting fundraising).<\/li>\n<li>Coordinate and reach out to volunteers and performers, tabling.<\/li>\n<li>Coordinate on-the-day event.<\/li>\n<li>Handle food logistics &amp; purchasing (contact restaurants, delivery, dietary restrictions, food labeling and communicate with AVI).<\/li>\n<li>Work with the Treasurer while placing orders to ensure the club follows the budgetary restrictions.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><strong>Decorations Chair:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Create the vision and design for events, fundraising, and activities.<\/li>\n<li>Create a shopping list (of decoration items, cutlery, etc.)<\/li>\n<li>Work with volunteers to set up the decorations for the events.<\/li>\n<li>Work with the Treasurer for budget allocations.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<p>OWU Sponsoring Organization\/Office: WCSA<br \/>\nContact: Claire Heumasse at\u00a0<a href=\"mailto:horizons@owu.edu\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">horizons@owu.edu<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Passionate about celebrating culture at OWU?
