I am hosting a Social Justice in Education book study that is taking place every other week in Merrick during the lunch hour. Our next meeting is Sept. 22 from 12-1 p.m. in Merrick 201. All are welcome to attend!<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Topics we will be covering include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Culturally relevant and sustaining pedagogies<\/li>\n<li dir=\"ltr\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Revisionist history<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li dir=\"ltr\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Book banning\/ culture wars happening in our schools<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li dir=\"ltr\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\">What a social justice lesson\/ classroom looks like<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">We will be reading the book\u00a0<em>Everyday Antiracism\u00a0<\/em>by Mica Pollock. The book will be provided to attendees for free!
