{"id":115712,"date":"2023-08-28T08:00:21","date_gmt":"2023-08-28T12:00:21","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sites.owu.edu\/daily\/?p=115712"},"modified":"2023-08-08T14:09:49","modified_gmt":"2023-08-08T18:09:49","slug":"first-friday-parties-saturday-farmers-markets-and-more-in-downtown-delaware","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sites.owu.edu\/daily\/first-friday-parties-saturday-farmers-markets-and-more-in-downtown-delaware\/","title":{"rendered":"First Friday Parties, Saturday Farmers&#8217; Markets, and More in Downtown Delaware!"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>The Ohio Wesleyan community is invited to visit downtown Delaware for First Friday parties, weekly farmers&#8217; markets, and other <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mainstreetdelaware.com\/events\/?tribe_paged=1&amp;tribe_event_display=list&amp;tribe-bar-search=first+friday\">special events<\/a>!<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Delaware is a national Main Street community, and Main Street Delaware helps to celebrate the city with a long list of special events.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Just two blocks from Ohio Wesleyan, the city comes alive on the First Friday of every month with a special themed celebration from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. In September, the community is invited to enjoy a Back-to-School bash.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>On every Saturday through Oct. 28, Main Street Delaware hosts a Farmers&#8217; Market from 9 a.m. to noon on South Sandusky Street. The markets feature locally grown fruits, vegetables, flowers, and more, based on what&#8217;s in season.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>In December, everyone&#8217;s invited to a three-day Home for the Holidays celebration that includes a downtown tree lighting\u00a0and parade.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>We hope to see everyone downtown!
