Since launching in early 2023, News for OWU Families has consistently maintained an open rate of 62-65% \u2013 families are reading it! <strong>We hope you will consider what is relevant to families from your office and plan now for the August edition and beyond.<\/strong>\u00a0We encourage you to make monthly calendar reminders to create submissions and spread the word about this new communication tool to engage our OWU families.<\/p>\n<p>During the academic year,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/sites.owu.edu\/newsforowufamilies\/new-at-owu-submissions\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=https:\/\/sites.owu.edu\/newsforowufamilies\/new-at-owu-submissions\/&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1685042742190000&amp;usg=AOvVaw0momTyzJjz_SeIjx7HMgWL\">submissions<\/a>\u00a0will be due by noon the Friday before each email release.\u00a0Emails will be sent to families on the first Wednesday of every month.<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>Tips:<\/u><\/strong> 1) eliminate OWU jargon, abbreviations, or acronyms from your emails; 2) use &#8220;family&#8221; or &#8220;parents and families&#8221;; 3) consider your voice and tone \u2013 direct your message to <em>families\u00a0<\/em>(not students).<\/p>\n<p>OWU Sponsoring Organization\/Office: Alumni &amp; Family Engagement<br \/>\nContact: Nancy Rutkowski at\u00a0<a href=\"mailto:nbrutkow@owu.edu\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">nbrutkow@owu.edu<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>News for OWU Families\u00a0will be\u00a0on hiatus for the months of June &amp; July.\u00a0 We will resume the digest in August, with submissions due by noon on Friday, Aug. 4.\u00a0 The digest will be sent to families on Wednesday, Aug. 9.
