The OWU International and Off Campus Programs Office is looking to hire a Student Intern for the rest of the Spring 2023 semester and Summer 2023.\u00a0Deadline to apply for this position is March 1, 2023.<\/strong>\u00a0Reports to: Dede Shine (Assistant Director of International and Off-Campus Programs) Term of Service: May 2023 through May 2024 (may start earlier) Rate of Pay: $10.10 \/ hour Hours per week: To be determined, usually 5 to 10 during academic term; approximately 35-40 hours during summer<\/p>\n

Main duties:<\/strong>
\n*Assistance with New International Student Orientation\u2014 Including: planning and execution, new student arrival and settlement and Orientation presentations.
\n*Coordination of new student airport pick-ups; supervision of student volunteers (NISOLs); communication with incoming students.
\n*Serve as a NISOL Buddy to the entire international and global nomad freshmen class after the start of classes checking in with each student on a bi-weekly basis
\n*Assistance with clerical work in supporting IOCP
\n*Preparation of documents for publication and distribution; preparation of mailings, etc.
\n*Special project work related to academic program or academic interests of the individual. *Assistance with communications to students and various departments.
\n*Other duties as assigned.<\/p>\n

Qualifications:<\/strong>
\nMandatory:
\n*Currently enrolled student in good academic standing;
\n* Must be interested in engaging with diverse international or global cultures<\/p>\n

Preferred:
\n* Permission to operate OWU-owned 12-passenger vans. Clean driving record.
\n* Available to start as soon as funding is approved and to continue to work through the beginning of classes.
\n* Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite; Google Drive\/ Docs\/ Sheets
\n* Previous experience with OWU NISO\/ former NISOL preferred
\n* Previous OWU work-study experience.<\/p>\n
