The Office of University Communications is seeking a news writer and editor for 2022-2023. The intern will help to share the OWU story with internal and external audiences, focusing on the OWU Connection.<\/p>\n
Duties may include conducting email and in-person interviews, writing news articles and press releases, taking photos and videos, and editing webpages using the BigTree content management system.<\/p>\n
The ideal candidate will have demonstrable writing and editing skills, with an interest in public relations and\/or journalism. (All students who apply must supply 2-3 writing samples \u2013 links to online articles are fine \u2013 as part of their application packets.) An interest in photography\/videography\/social media and a knowledge of Associated Press style is a plus, but not required.<\/p>\n
The internship pays minimum wage and requires a time commitment of at least six hours per week.
