Information Services is seeking a student worker for the summer. The position provides telephone, email, webchat, and walk-in support, as well as keeps online support resources up-to-date, for up to 35 hours per week, with a discount on housing.<\/p>\n
Duties include:
\nTechnical Assistance and Support
\n* Answer Help Desk phone calls and webchat requests
\n* Answer email questions and requests for assistance that come in as TOPdesk tickets
\n* Assist with connecting devices to our campus networks
\n* Provide technical support to the campus community, utilizing resources provided
\n* Monitor email and webchat through TOPdesk and LibraryH3lp
\n* Check the status of online resources as needed
\n* Accurately escalate any unresolved problems to Information Services staff, according to documentation
\n* Keep the front lobby area clean and in acceptable user condition
\n* Always enter the user\u2019s name and contact info, along with the nature of their call
\n* Check voicemails that come in as Help Desk tickets
\n* Keep Information Services staff up to date of any concerns<\/p>\n

\n* Contribute knowledge to the Oh-Wooo Help Desk website (helpdesk.owu.edu<\/a>) and BishopWorks Knowledge Base
\n* Keep an editorial eye on any pages used and update as needed
\n* Share helpful tips & tricks found with the team and staff<\/p>\n
\n* Computer knowledge & troubleshooting (the more the better)
\n* Customer service and professionalism (more important than technical know-how)
\n* Good communication, both written and oral
\n* Initiative and ability to work independently<\/p>\n
