Each year the GLCA sends students to the American College of Greece to Participate in the Athens Democracy.<\/p>\n
The theme for 2021 is \u201cAfter the Storms: From Crisis to Renewal\u201d. Forum sessions will address a range of topics, including: Alternative Tools of Democracy, From the Ground Up: New Economic Models, Wake Up to Climate Change, Disinformation’s Black Hole, Rethinking Work, Art as Activism, and Fast-Track Democracies. Panels and workshops will emphasize the \u201cDo\u201d part of the Democracy and Culture Foundation\u2019s Think-Talk-Do impact chain.<\/p>\n
Student delegates are expected to make meaningful contributions, particularly in providing a youth perspective from their part of the world. The plan is to hold the ADF in person, but that plan could change due to Covid restrictions, which would mean a virtual forum.<\/p>\n
Airfare, hotel, registration, and most meals will be paid for by OWU and the GLCA.<\/p>\n
