Sahar holds a PhD in Cancer Biology from Case Western and is now working in a small, early-stage Biotech company that is focused on developing therapies for Parkinson’s Disease and understanding the role of protein tyrosine nitration in cancer, fibrosis and neurodegeneration. She attended OWU as an international student and majored in Zoology with a concentration in Genetics.

While a student, Sahar was active in the Wilderness Ministry and Common Text. She is happy to
– Speak with a student virtually or on the phone about grad school, biotech culture, and any other general questions
– Serve on a panel, speak to a club or class virtually, have information interviews, serve a a mentor
– Assisting OWU Alumni (recent Alumni, or Alumni in transition)
– Offer insights to international students navigating their way in STEM research fields
