SJ Barakony is an American entrepreneurial polymath with a boundless appreciation for people, entrepreneurship, liberty, & lifelong learning. He has ties to multiple business ventures: He branded the Education Sherpa (circa fall 2011); over the next 11+ years, he’s been offered a number of opportunities to partner with others, including the H7 Network; Econ Impact Catalyst; The Entrepreneurial Leap; Bee Konnected, & Web Strategy + / Social Media Enthusiasts. He’s a thought leader; futurist; guest blogger; super-connector; speaker; historian; & soft skills specialist.
He would like to be involved and contacted regularly to help students who are in the Liberal Arts/Social Science Majors, Business, and students in athletics:
- Speaking with a student virtually or on the phone
- Presenting to a class in-person on soft skills, entrepreneurship, pursuing a calling vs. career, and the differences between networking and community/relationship building
- Presenting to a student organization
- Conducting a virtual webinar
- Mentoring a student
- Assisting OWU Alumni (recent Alumni, or Alumni in transition)
- Participating in OWU events such as speed networking, mock interviewing, panels, etc.
- Hosting a “Career Trek/visit” with a group of students & OWU staff.
SJ was an Economics/Management (EMAN) major at OWU, and he was involved on the Student Judicial Board, WSF as a Tour Guide, Academic Status Committee, and he ran for Student Class Trustee. He is still actively involved in the Central Ohio Alumni Leadership Board and the DEC at OWU.
He can indirectly support students in finding internship opportunities – his connections are deep and vast, and he often will request interns to help with his four entrepreneurial ventures.
