Biography
Micaela works on Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion projects, alongside typical Human Resources duties (hiring, onboarding, etc.) for John Snow Inc., a global public health non-profit. As a student, Micaela studied Sociology/ Anthropology & Women’s and Gender Studies, while being involved in a plethora of organizations including: Being a Member of Tree House, Co-Founder & President of College Democrats, Founder & Interim President of Prism, chair of SOAN student board, member of WGS student board, tour guide/ admission’s office staff member, OMSA staff member (specifically, Spectrum Resource Center student intern), an was a Camp OWU leader.
Micaela is looking to support any students interested in Sociology/ Anthropology, Women’s and Gender Studies/ AGIS, members of the Tree House SLU, and any LGBTQ+ students with any of the following:
- Speaking with a student virtually or on the phone
- Presenting to a student organization
- Conducting a virtual webinar
- Mentoring a student
- Assisting OWU Alumni
- Serving as a resume-reviewer for OWU students and/or Alumni
- Participating virtually in OWU events such as speed networking, mock interviewing, panels, etc.
- Hosting a student for an externship or shadowing experience
- Hosting a “Career Trek/ visit” with a group of students & OWU staff
