Special Education Teacher – Bridgeway AcademyBiography
Meredith is passionate about disability services and bettering the lives of children. Prior to her work at Bridgeway Academy, she provided Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy with Mosaic Pediatric Therapy in Raleigh, North Carolina. The company provides private therapy working with Autistic children for both in home and clinic based sessions. She is also starting a masters program in Speech Language Pathology (SLP) to further her credentials. Previously, Meredith worked as a TA in a Special Education self-contained elementary school classroom in Wake County Public Schools for 3 years, and is still well connected there.
Open to being contacted by students, especially those in Psychology, English, Special Education, and Education:
- Speaking with a student virtually or on the phone
- Mentoring a student
- Assisting OWU Alumni (recent Alumni, or Alumni in transition)
- Serving as a resume-reviewer for OWU students and/or Alumni,
- Speaking with students/alumni about the transitions from student to post grad life
- Speaking with students/alumni interested in Special Education, Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), Speech Language Pathology (SLP), and working in public schools.
At OWU, Meredith was an English and Psychology major as well as a member of the Psychology Student Board and Big Brothers Big Sisters. In addition she was a LeaderShape participant at OWU and worked in the library.
