As an assistant horticulturist for the city, I lead the design, install, and maintenance of the trees, as well as the perennial and annual plant beds within several city parks. This position is unique because I have the creative freedom to design landscape beds that align with my own personal interests, as well as providing beautiful landscapes for the residents of Dublin. The horticulture department often works with volunteers and citizens on larger scale projects such as invasive species removal and replacing with native plant species.
