Graduate Student The Ohio State University College of Arts and Sciences
Columbus, OH

Biography

Kristen is currently a nontraditional graduate student at The Ohio State University who started their journey in STEM at OWU, where she earned her BA in Microbiology & Botany. Before returning to the lab, she worked at Chemical Abstracts Service (a division of the American Chemical Society) and most recently served as the STEM & Pre-Health Career Catalyst right here at OWU, where she helped students explore science careers and build confidence in their next steps.

Her research interests include Organic Synthesis and Materials and Interface Chemistry -particularly how functional groups influence reactivity and how molecular design can support energy innovation. Kristen is especially passionate about supporting fellow students navigating nonlinear paths through STEM and is always happy to talk research, résumés, or the delightful chaos of figuring it all out.
