Biography

Haley graduated from OWU in 2014 with her Bachelor’s and graduated from Ohio State University in 2017 with a Master’s in Genetic Counseling. She began working at Ohio State later that year as a cancer genetic counselor in the high risk breast clinic and as faculty in the Genetic Counseling Graduate program. She remained in that position for nearly five years, helping to grow the clinical practice, supervising and teaching genetic counseling graduate students, and participating in various research projects. In early 2022, she relocated to Chicago and began working as a cancer genetic counselor at Northwestern Medicine, where her role is primarily clinical but she is still involved in student supervision and research. Haley is open to:

  • Speaking with a student virtually or on the phone
  • Mentoring a student
  • Assisting OWU Alumni (recent Alumni, or Alumni in transition)
  • Participating in OWU events such as speed networking, mock interviewing, panels, etc.

While on campus Haley majored in Genetics and Spanish, was a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma and participated in Viva (Latin American Culture club).
