Biography

Since graduating from OWU, Erika has worked for two Girl Scout Councils, Girl Scouts of Southern Illinois and Girl Scouts of Ohio’s Heartland. She has worked in several departments including Registration/Data Management, Program, Volunteer Services, and Membership, and has also served as the lead project manager for troop finances in her department as well as a facilitator for two required volunteer trainings. Then she transitioned to publishing, working a project manager and senior project manager, for Manning Publications.

She currently works as an administrative assistant at a law firm that specializes in estate planning, in addition to working as a contractor in publishing.

Happy to be contacted and assist students of all majors and groups who work with volunteers. She is open to supporting the OWU community in the following ways:

  • Speaking with a student virtually or on the phone
  • Presenting to a class virtually on working with volunteers and in nonprofit organizations
  • Presenting to a student organization virtually
  • Conducting a virtual webinar
  • Mentoring a student
  • Assisting OWU Alumni (recent Alumni, or Alumni in transition)

Erika majored in English, Classics & Ancient Studies at OWU, and she was involved in Campus Girl Scouts, HMCL Student Board, and the English Student Board.
