Deshawn is employed at Experience Columbus, the Destination Marketing Organization for the greater Columbus area. He concentrates on leisure tourism initiatives, working closely with the Visitor Centers and participating in community events. His team strives to create memorable experiences for all visitors to Columbus. Deshawn assists with event management, engagement programs, and marketing promotions.

– Presenting to a class in-person
– Presenting to a student organization
– Conducting a virtual webinar
– Mentoring a student
– Participating in OWU events such as speed networking, mock interviewing, panels, etc.

While at OWU, Deshawn was involved in the Campus Programming Board and the Communication Student Board.
