Business Owner – Kinesight Fitness, Exercise Science Program Chair – Franklin UniversityBiography
Alisa is currently the Chair of the Exercise Science program at Franklin University. She owns a startup business, Kinesight Fitness, where she is using Data Science and biological markers to provide personalized fitness programming. Her educational background after OWU includes a Master’s in Exercise Science and PhD in Molecular Biology, as well as a certificate in Data Science. Her former jobs have included biological project management at Battelle for over 20 years, data analyst at CAS, and a senior data scientist for clinical trials at WCG.
She is happy to be contacted by any student or Alumni for:
- Speaking with a student 1:1 on campus
- Speaking with a student virtually or on the phone
- Presenting to a student organization
- Assisting OWU Alumni (recent Alumni, or Alumni in transition)
- Serving as a resume-reviewer for OWU students and/or Alumni
- Participating in OWU events such as speed networking, mock interviewing, panels, etc.
- Hosting a a student for an externship or shadowing experience
Alisa was a Zoology major at OWU and served on the Wesleyan Council on Student Affairs. At her start up business, she will provide internships for students interested in Exercise Science, Business, and Analytics/Data Science. She expects these internships to be available in the near future.
