Aakash is an Economic Research Associate at the American Bankers Association (ABA), a trade association that is the voice of the nation’s $24.5 trillion banking industry, which is composed of small, regional and large banks that together employ approximately 2.1 million people, safeguard $19.5 trillion in deposits and extend $12.8 trillion in loans.. He received his Master’s in Public and International Affairs, concentrating in International Political Economy from the University of Pittsburgh and a Bachelor of Arts in Finance and Economics from Ohio Wesleyan University.
At the ABA, he works on analyzing trends in the banking and economic sector for stakeholders and member banks. In addition, his portfolio consists of Mergers and Acquisitions activity in the banking sector, Credit Union analysis, agriculture lending analysis and cybersecurity and fraud. Affiliated with: Greek Life (Alpha Sigma Phi, VP of Finance), WCSA (Treasurer), Horizons International (Treasurer), RA during his time at OWU.
