Sam has been involved in veterinary services in central Ohio for almost 20 years, and recently opened my own practice in 2022 seeing most companion animal species including cats, dogs, reptiles, small mammals, birds, fish, non-traditional species, and invertebrates. Sam has consulted and worked with the Ohio Wildlife Center, Columbus Humane, Ohio Division of Wildlife, The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine, and other groups on a variety of exotic animals. His ultimate goal is to improve the quality of medicine for all animals he can, whether they are pets or in the wild.
At Ohio Wesleyan, Sam was involved in Chess Club & studied Pre-professional zoology. Sam is interested in supporting Pre-Veterinary students, Zoology students, and the OWU community with the following:
- Speaking with a student 1:1 on campus
- Speaking with a student virtually or on the phone
- Presenting to a class in-person
- Presenting to a student organization
- Assisting OWU Alumni
- Serving as a resume-reviewer for OWU students and/or Alumni
- Participating in OWU events such as speed networking, mock interviewing, panels, etc.
- Hosting a “Career Trek/ Visit” with a group of students & OWU staff
