Biography

Rachael Robinson is a passionate conservation educator with over 16 years of experience in the field of zoological institutions. Currently serving as the Director of Education at the Oklahoma City Zoo, she has dedicated her career to inspiring and educating others about the wonders of the natural world.

Rachael holds a Bachelor of Arts in Zoology and Environmental Studies from Ohio Wesleyan University and a Master of Science in Environmental Education from Lesley University, Audubon Expedition Institute in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Her dedication and contributions to the field have earned her accolades, including OWU’s Ralph A. Bowdle Award for exceptional contributions to the Zoology Department and the AZA’s Robert O. Wagner Professional Development Scholarship. Beyond her work at the Oklahoma City Zoo, Rachael is actively involved in advancing science education. She serves on the Board of Directors for the Oklahoma Science Teaching Association and is a proud member of the Association of Zoos and Aquariums’ (AZA) Honors and Awards committee.

Rachael Robinson’s unwavering commitment to conservation education, her impressive professional journey, and her dedication to inspiring the next generation of environmental stewards make her a valuable asset to any educational or conservation event.

Rachael is willing to support Biology, Zoology, and Environmental Studies students, and the OWU community with the following:

  • Speaking with a student virtually or on the phone
  • Mentoring a student
  • Assisting OWU Alumni (recent Alumni, or Alumni in transition)
  • Serving as a resume reviewer for OWU students and/or Alumni
  • Participating in OWU events such as speed networking, mock interviewing, panels, etc.
